Recently, a strange fashion has emerged among developers of casual products: filling mini-games with meaning and trying to add a sane plot to all this “collect three” and “shoot from a cannon”. To dig up a lost underground city, find hidden treasures, save humanity from hordes of furious killerbots, enslave the world, in the end – for some reason, to achieve such noble, and not so noble, goals, it is necessary to rotate combinations of crystals (fruits, precious stones, soap bubbles – underline as necessary) and accurately shoot from a fake gun. Only very young children can believe that these completely ridiculous actions will help accomplish their plans. For the rest, naive attempts to create a storyline are at best touching, at worst annoying, prompting them to abandon the passage and never return to it.
Fairy Jewels makes every effort to ensure that the plot basis is exactly what touches. Adorable little creatures – fairies – fluttered and had fun, until the evil wizard for some reason needed to get them at his disposal. Forever. Of course, you and I cannot allow such lawlessness, and therefore we will go through more than 150 levels and save the winged captives.
Fairies are kept in strange crystal https://gamblingsitesnotongamstop.co.uk/review/palm-casino/ dungeons. To free the “butterflies”, you need to destroy the walls of their prison with a precise shot from a special cannon. The problem is that between the muzzle of the gun and the targets there are obstacles of all kinds: multi-colored crystals (by the way, our “pistol” is loaded with them), glass balls, rings and obstacles impenetrable by a regular shot. Each item on this list interferes in its own way. A block of crystals is eliminated by hitting a “bullet” of a similar color. Missed? Watch as additional clutter appears on the playing field. Glass bubbles serve more as decoration: they are eliminated with a single “bullet”. Small rings turn into elements of the same tone as the charge that lands in them. Brick “walls” do not react to ordinary shells – they need to be blown up with “bombs” scattered here and there. As an option – bonus, enhanced shots: a rare, but very useful thing.
The further we move deeper into the evil sorcerer’s castle, the more difficult our task becomes. Sometimes it seems that it is simply impossible – but in fact there is a way out of any situation, you just have to think about it. Every detail – the placement of bombs, the effect of ricocheting off walls – can become a starting point for creating an original solution. By the way, you need to think quickly – the time allotted to complete one level is strictly limited.
Generally Fairy Jewels leaves a good impression. The puzzles become more complicated with each new stage, and therefore do not become boring. Sound effects and graphics don’t cause much excitement, but they don’t distract from the gameplay – and thank you for that. I think even the laziest will pass"Fairy Kingdom"(this is how the name of the project was translated into Russian) to the end – it’s interesting!
Pros: gradually increasing complexity; a large number of levels; nice picture.
Cons: minimum music, somehow “attached” plot.
