Features of medieval optimization. Kingdom Come Deliverance review.

We live in very difficult times for the industry. Large studios often make games just for profit and work according to old “working” patterns. After all, why reinvent the wheel?? Many AAA publishers think the same. But despite such a sad picture, there are still enthusiasts for whom gameplay is not an empty phrase, and its development is one of the main factors in the formation of developers as creators.

One of these projects was Kingdom Come: Deliverance; new major release from Daniel Vavra, one of the creative directors of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven. After many years of silence after the release of his debut project, Vavro did not go with the flow, but created his own concept. Implementation of a project where elements of realism are synergistically intertwined with a narrative based on historical realities that unfold in one of the regions of the developers’ homeland – Bohemia. Did Daniel and the Warhorse team succeed, and what sacrifices did the developers have to make, we will now discuss.

The clouds are gathering

Let’s go through the plot a little.

As stated above, the game takes place on the territory of one of the regions of the Czech Republic – Bohemia in 1403; which at that time was part of the Holy Roman Empire. We are given the role of the ordinary son of the blacksmith Henry (or Henry in the English version). Whose life slowly flows in the silver Skalitsa, famous at that time for silver mining; the main resource for minting pennies – the monetary volute used in the territories of central and eastern Europe in the late Middle Ages. Henry’s life did not stand out among other families of artisans: the common work of his whole life – blacksmithing, shelter, fresh food on the table and people close to him. However, Henry wanted more, his heart lies in adventures that, perhaps, were not destined to come true.

Everything changed on one terrible day for the main character, which began like all the others: a trip to the market, hooliganism of local children and subsequently helping his father in their common cause. This time, Henry and his father were faced with a difficult task, to forge one of the best creations, worthy of kings, which was intended for the local lord – Pan Radzig Kobyla. Long hours of work and hardening were not in vain. After the work was completed, all that remained was fine polishing and a crash test of this creation. By chance, Pan Radzig Kobyla himself joined the tests, passing by the forge to his own castle, along with Mr. Toth.

With Radzig’s permission, Henry also had the honor of testing the new creation, to which he personally had a hand. But already at the swing stage, one can notice Henry’s exceptional inexperience in sword technique; despite multiple trainings with “mercenaries from the road”. Pan Radzig noted that Henry should continue to hone his skills, to which his father sharply expressed himself in a negative way. Like any parent, Henry’s father did not want his son to lay down his own sword on the battlefield, and his life along with it; but adopted the craft and lived the calm and measured life of a craftsman.

A messenger followed Pan Radzig with not very good news. Skalitz is under attack, and the army is already on the doorstep. Henry’s father heard about the upcoming attack and told his son to pack his things, while he went to fetch his wife, who at that moment was in the market square. Suddenly the sound of a war horn is heard, followed by a hail of arrows and the roar of clattering hooves. Despite his father’s instructions: pick up the necessary things and go to the castle; Henry nevertheless went to the square itself to save his relatives. Upon arrival at the square, Henry discovered dozens of dead people, torn to pieces by foreign barbarians called "Polovtsians" and the cold-blooded murder of his own parents. Seeing such a terrible picture, Henry stood in a stupor. At a certain moment, Henry realized that he was unable to do anything, after which he ran into the castle at full speed and without turning around.

But bad luck: the castle gates had already been slammed, as a result of which Henry was asked to go to Talmberg Castle and warn the local lord that the enemy had ravaged Skalitsa; despite the fact that the task is clearly not an easy one, the main character has no way out, and we hit the road. And as luck would have it, having taken a horse from one of the stables, a pair of horsemen armed with bows sit on our tail. Upon arriving in Talmbeg, exhausted and wounded by one of the horsemen, Henry, he tells about what happened to the local sir Divish. The rested Henry, at the request of Pan Divish, went to the wall on patrol to reconnoiter the territory. A few hours later it became known that the inhabitants of Skalitsa, who were hiding in the castle, were able to get out, among whom were Henry’s friends; but he was haunted by the thought that the bodies of his parents were left in Skalitsa to be picked up by looters and eaten by wild dogs. The only thing that prevented Henry from going to Skalitsa and burying his parents was the Polovtsian army, and going there now was tantamount to suicide. The following week, the army rushed to Talmberg itself, but with slightly different intentions – to find out whether Divisz knew about the location of Radzig Mare and whether Talmberg was planning to resist the will of Sigismund’s army, by whose decree the Cumans, led by the German commander Markravt von Aulitz, ravaged the silver capital of Bohemia.

As a result, it became known that the Polovtsy left Skalitsa. But the fact that the city is free does not make it at all safe. Deserters, mercenaries, moroders and other unsavory individuals strive to profit from what is left of the long-suffering town. Which doesn’t bother the main character at all; after all, any obstacles are nothing if the goal is the last good deed that you can do for your own parents. To do this, one must take into account; Radzig Kobyla himself vouched for Henry, so no one will let him leave Talmberg until everything calms down. The only way to get out of the castle is to escape. Fortunately, such an initiative is not limited to one option prepared in advance by the developers; one should be extremely careful when studying the internal spaces of Talmberg.

With a successful escape, we still manage to get to Skalitsa and find the bodies of the protagonist’s parents. Not surprisingly, Henry was not alone. In the town, over the course of circumstances, we will find one of our acquaintances, who at that time was looting, taking things from the dead bodies of his once living neighbors, which Henry did not like. And with the “gift of persuasion” you can convince him to leave.

It’s time to start achieving the goal you came all this way for. After some time, we meet Eric again, but this time with a company armed to the teeth. All they demanded was that same sword for Radzig Kobyla, and one might say that the blade was the last material memory of his father. Henry flatly refused to give up the sword, which was followed by noble blows from a bully with a huge club, who ultimately knocked out the main character.

We will wake up in Rattay, where the girl Teresa led us, and where the main plot begins.

Despite such a long introduction, much remains under the veil of secrecy for us. Having played 130 hours; having completed all possible quests and the main story campaign (without affecting the DLC). Kingdom Come evokes an extremely strange aftertaste: from enthusiastic exclamations to alien skepticism, which strives to scream about the shortcomings of this game.

Medieval aesthetics

Eh… Bohemia! A beautiful green land, with impregnable and monstrous castles. One of the most important tasks of Warhors was to recreate the historically accurate region of 1403, combining both infrastructure and urbanism, as well as the nature of that time. And from the point of view of visualizing the settlements of medieval Bohemia, the Warhorse team deserved a special plus. Absolutely all buildings have their own historical analogue and are recreated with maximum attention to detail, and repeat their medieval ancestor almost to an inch.

The developers have done a tremendous amount of work in studying the prototypes of cities of that time. Despite the fact that not all the architecture has been preserved in its original form, like the same Ratae that is presented in Kingdom Come in all its glory. Although at the end of the 16th century, the walls of Rataje were dismantled for the reconstruction of Rataje Castle in the “Borocco” style. Therefore, the developers faced a difficult task, to recreate what was once lost.

Of course, in some aspects concessions had to be made; Thus, the distance between cities was reduced to fit the map into 16 square in-game kilometers. Such simplifications only played into the hands. The map has become more comprehensive, and traveling between cities does not seem lengthy.

But what Kingdom Come: Deliverance really can’t justify is its open world. The vastness of Kingdom Come does not seem static, much less artificial, but it also does not boast of interesting content in the world, with the exception of cities. Before opening all teleportation points, you will have to disperse the “Fog of War” and open all locations on your own two feet or riding on your trusty steed. But not everything is so simple, on your way you will meet: beggars, duelists, nervous peasants, an eccentric with riddles and armed mercenaries. At first glance, such elements complement the world well, but given the size of the map, I would like more interesting random encounters. Chance encounters are not the only element that shapes the perception of traveling through medieval Bohemia; and interesting places are something with which there are obvious problems in the game. For the most part, interesting places are represented by certain objects that do not have any interaction. Live Story: I was riding a horse one day and noticed a burnt-out cart, which was marked on the map as an “interesting place”; I begin to explore the surroundings in search of possible traces of a struggle or even treasure! But apart from the burnt cart, nothing followed this place. In my opinion, this is a problem; the project would benefit from points with increased interactivity, in which there is a beginning and an end. There are similar examples in the game when you notice blood and follow the trail, eventually finding a corpse with treasure there. Unfortunately, such cases are the exception to the rule rather than the rule itself. An example can also be abandoned mines, when exploring which you will, at best, stumble upon a chest with modest contents. In other cases, abandoned mines are empty, unremarkable locations. I’m not expecting random encounters or interesting places like in RDR 2, but still in some aspects, Warhorce should take a cue from Rockstar in terms of open world design as an element of atmosphere.

In addition to the bushes that slow down movement on a horse, the local forests are also populated by a variety of non-aggressive animals: hares, deer, roe deer, wild boars, and as you might imagine, they can be hunted as part of poaching. It’s surprising that with all the diversity of the fauna, the developers did not add predators, because the dog model is present in the game. Let’s be content with what we have, take a bow for advantage, a quiver of arrows and a faithful steed. I think the first thing a player will notice when moving on a horse through the forest is the complete absence of living creatures in the radius of vision until you deign to dismount, which is a little funny, but lends itself to some kind of logic. The strangest thing about hunting is the logic of animal behavior. When a player is detected by a boar, the animal does not try to hide from the character’s field of vision, runs away a couple of meters and forgets that it was being hunted. Despite the rough edges in the AI Lyceum, this element fits perfectly into the concept of the project, which also provides for upgrading the “Hunting” skill, in which, as you upgrade, new opportunities for interacting with living creatures open up.

Big city for a little man

Waking up in Rattay, https://nonukgamblingsites.co.uk/review/spins-heaven/ we find out that we were saved by the girl Teresa, who brought help in time. Now we need to repay her in kind, or more precisely her uncle, who decided to shelter us. How you will pay is up to you to decide. You can arbitrarily get money or complete a couple of simple quests for the old man. From now on, you are free to go wherever you want, as long as you are not afraid of being killed by the first Polovtsian dog you come across. At the beginning of the game you are weak and powerless, so you are faced with several tasks: get some pennies and improve your combat skills a little. The most basic ways to get a little rich are: the aforementioned hunting, with the widespread sale of skins and meat, as well as performing crosses and stealing.

The first thing that came to my mind was to sell what was in bad shape, so I decided to explore local houses in search of something I could profit from; but in my searches I discovered a gold mine – the trading shops of merchants. The fact is that stealing more valuable things from chests is an extremely problematic task due to the low level of the “hacking” skill; for this reason, hacking chests with an average level of locks and above was impossible. After thinking about it, I realized that shops are the most profitable, but far from the easiest option. But still I decided to try my luck. During the day, it is impossible to carry out an adventure, because you are in full view of everyone, and the shop guard is trying to discourage you from any desire to steal. Therefore, it is worth studying the timings: the time at which people go to bed and the moment when weapons disappear from the shelves, because when you break into a shop, everything you own will disappear before your eyes; it won’t put you in the best position. Any careless action can cost coins, reputation and even life.

The developers took care of a kind of simulation of life in cities and villages. During the day, people go about their daily activities: go to the market, relax in the tavern, play dice and interact with other characters. Therefore, it is necessary to be as careful as possible when committing a crime. Residents who notice the thief will call a guard, who will impose certain sanctions against you.

Changing the layout of things by loading the last save will not work; the fact is that at the beginning of the game the player does not have the opportunity to save in a convenient place, since saves are schnapps, and schnapps costs money, of which there is not much at the start of the game.

Let’s return to the robbery of the gunsmith’s shop. Having met the timing, we climb into the shop and take everything we can and cannot carry. You just need to take into account that stolen items are marked, so they can only be sold after a certain period of time; the more valuable the item, the longer you will have to wait until the “Stolen” marking is lost. But don’t be disappointed, stolen items can be bought by some “intermediaries” that open during the game, but are bought at a greatly reduced price tag. But this is only one of the problems, the guards may even search you and find stolen goods, although there are some tricks here too.

Among the things I “borrowed” were quite good clothes for the main character; but there is a problem – this is the level of pumping. The fact is that depending on the leveled skill, the effectiveness of the item increases, be it: short swords, long swords, sabers, maces, axes and bows. If a sword requires 10 points in the “long swords” skill, but you only have 6, then be prepared that the character will run out of energy even at the stage of swinging the sword. A battle with such a weapon “for growth” will be much more difficult than you would like, due to the rapid consumption of stamina. Having upgraded the required skill to the required level, “combinations” will open to you – this is a bunch of certain types of attacks that entail special damage that sends negative effects to the enemy. The only problem is that such connections, even if fully observed, may not work. When the enemy is thrown off balance and you try to do one of the combinations, aiming at certain parts of the enemy’s body, he still blocks one of the blows, thereby breaking the chain. If you’re tired of waving your sword in front of your enemy, you have the opportunity to get a bow and arrows and shoot at the enemy from afar.

Since Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a system of combat and peaceful skills, a small part of which we touched on above; several more leveling branches appear in front of the player, among them a curiosity has been registered.

Reading. One of the most notable and unique mechanics in the game is reading. When trying to read a robber’s note or love correspondence between lovebirds, the player will only see a set of letters that, in theory, should form words; in practice, this is more like dancing with a tambourine than a rational approach to solving the problem. Therefore, as in life, in order to understand what is written, you need to learn to read, for which there is a separate side quest. In any case, reading is a necessary thing, both from the point of view of storytelling and leveling up the character. Often, when a player will have to navigate by written text or raise the value of skills with the help of specialized books that will come across both chests and sold from scribes.

Speech is actually a common feature in role-playing games; but here too Kingdom Come tries to surprise the player in the implementation of mechanics. Now you have 3 points on which you can convince your opponent of something:

1) Persuasion – directly depends on the acquired “eloquence” skill;

2) Charm, the parameters of which depend on the character’s appearance. This parameter takes into account both the clothing the character wears and hygiene. If a character moves around the city, he is carried a mile away, and there are lumps of dirt hanging from his armor, this will affect the remarks of the NPCs around you;

3) Intimidation – the skill directly depends on the monstrousness of the armor you are wearing. There is one thing, but if your persuasion or intimidation skill is higher than that of the enemy, this does not indicate a clear victory in eloquence and pushes you to look for an individual approach to each NPC, which definitely breaks the mechanics.

The fact is that, for the most part, NPCs are dummies. Characters with whom you can start a dialogue are not revealed enough to understand the vulnerabilities and strengths of your opponent. In this regard, this element sometimes comes down to the usual – “guess, maybe it will work out.”!”. Absolutely all guards will never fall for threats, so let’s use charm or persuasion, which doesn’t always work either.

Alchemy is an extremely fun mechanic in which it is not enough to select a few ingredients and brew a potion, here it is made much more interesting and has many stages of preparation. The higher the skill, the higher the effect of the potions you brew. Also, in addition to the cooking itself, you need to collect herbs, which is also allocated to a separate pumping branch. The main problem with alchemy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is that it gets boring. But this problem can be solved by leveling up the skill itself, which allows you to brew the easiest potions automatically and eliminates other routine work.

We are already familiar with other peaceful skills: be it “stealth” and “hacking” mentioned above, if you are not a stranger to taking what is bad; “repair” for, again, fixing broken things; “Houndmaster” (which we will talk about a little later), horse riding for the greatest confidence when in the saddle, etc.d.

Realism is the basis of mechanics

One of the main features when promoting the game was realism: sword fights, leveling up and the logic of enemy behavior, all elements should to some extent fit into the concept of medieval Bohemia. For this, Warhorse turned to “Housův Mlýn” for advice, located in the city of Tabor, who practiced martial art with swords. The developers wanted to convey the feeling of battle, as it was in medieval realities, taking into account many little details to recreate the complete picture. For this, a first-person view was chosen, with some adjustments in the form of placing the hands a little higher than they are positioned in real combat.

To implement a multifaceted combat system, 2 types of strikes were invented: cutting and poking, 5 strike zones, the so-called “combat rose”. As a result, the developers really managed to create a good and complex combat system, which also has its drawbacks. Let’s remember the above combinations. Let me remind you that even if the conditions are fully met, the enemy for some reason can block the blow, thereby breaking the chain of blows. Thus, out of 10 potential combinations, you will get 2-3 combinations at best, provided that you spend more than one hour honing your combat skills. It’s also worth remembering horse fights, which you won’t see for a well-known reason – they’re complete rubbish.

Let’s remember the same Mount & Blade Warband, where on horseback, regardless of the type of weapon, the player had the opportunity to swing the weapon, which regulates the force of the blow and multiple zones for hitting the enemy. In Kingdom Come, we only have 2 types of strikes left, which are applied to strictly defined zones and make it impossible to accurately strike at vulnerable parts of the enemy. The only working way to fight on horseback is a long-range attack, which in many cases will save your life, excluding close contact with a particularly dangerous enemy or an entire squad.

Problems with combinations and fighting on horseback are just a drop in the ocean. First person camera – my respects! So you have to try to get it right with its implementation. The camera is crooked and buggy, and moments when the camera in the heat of battle flies off to God knows where are not uncommon. Many players complain about battles with many opponents, I agree, but only partly. In moments when you are fighting with 1+ opponents, your main weapon can be attentiveness and reaction, which is completely broken by the camera; the fact is that when the player is attacked by several opponents, you try to parry the attacks of each and strike a counter blow; but when pointing the camera from one enemy to another, the sight simply does not catch on to the next enemy, which ultimately throws off the rhythm.

In my understanding, if developers are trying to achieve realism, then this should apply not only to the combat system, but also to equipment. Those who like to put on as many things as possible will not be left deprived. There are 16 clothing items to choose from, including accessories such as necklaces and rings. The amount of armor worn has a minimal effect only on stamina consumption when running. At the beginning of the game, when I acquired a set of heavy armor, I thought: “Maybe, in addition to the heavy weight, this set will also affect my movement in general.”? Throwing all sorts of debuffs on the character that fit into the general concept of the world: like the same clumsiness, the speed of swinging weapons, the noise made by armor and so on; and the choice between light, medium and heavy armor type will have weight?”

But the reality is that in the near future, armor weight problems will disappear; but a character will be able to carry several such sets. In my opinion, the only granite argument in favor of light equipment over heavy equipment is the noise of the objects; but there are some flaws here too. When entering someone else’s intellectual property, while dressed in light black clothing, I really did not attract attention; but even in armor, moving and making characteristic sounds, with the correct body movements, I also remained invisible.

Despite many negative aspects, the combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance captivates and forces you to study its systematics, spending more than one hour on the training ground. One of the most notable mechanics of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the dog. In the game, the so-called “Barbos” will often help you both on the hunt and on the battlefield, identifying opponents and diverting their attention to himself.

Like your character, Barbos has his own leveling branch, in which, as you level up, new opportunities open up for interaction with your four-legged friend. The implementation of the dog was really pleasing, not to mention the horse, which turned out to be controversial.

Just like a dog, your steed also has practical uses. Horses are probably the main mode of transportation, which, damn it, looks glitchy and plastic. Getting stuck in bushes and textures, throwing a character off the saddle that defies logic, and the very feeling of a horse as a living creature with its own character are conveyed very poorly. One of the main tasks of Warhorse, in addition to the combat system and the implementation of medieval Bohemia, was the implementation of the horse, first of all, as a LIVING creature, with an individual character. The character’s movement on a horse is made as artificial as possible; horses succumb to pre-built behavior algorithms, which sometimes break. Here I am galloping through the forest, the horse touches a random branch, and safely throws me off. Wouldn’t say it was a problem if it didn’t happen so often. Unfortunately, it wasn’t just buggy AI. The horse often got stuck in objects and textures, climbed to heights from which he was no longer able to get down. I think we’ll come back to the bugs later; but as a mule, the horse copes just fine, thanks to its own branch of pumping and customization, which have a positive effect on the efficiency of the horse and the carried weight in pouches.

Not a bug, but a feature… Apparently it’s still a bug.

The release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance was remembered not only for its original ideas and aesthetics of medieval Bohemia, but also for its abundance of bugs. Sometimes it was about typical texture jams and problems with animation. Such problems were the exception to the rule, because for most the game simply did not work. The developers justified this with a long development cycle and a small budget by their standards (which, by the way, was $36 million, of which $12 million was spent on marketing and advertising) and promised to put the game in order in a couple of months.

3 years have passed since then. You might think that the game is polished and works great even on average configurations by our standards. Having entered the game, setting the highest quality (not ultra), I noticed the loading of vegetation and 2D backgrounds in the radius of vision; but that’s just a drop in the bucket. Optimization is a sacred thing, but Warhorse programmers are clearly sinners. With a stable 80-90 fps, the game managed to drop to 35-45 fps; This tendency is especially evident in Rattay – the initial city in which, after being rescued from Skalitsa by Teresa, the main character stays. I tried not to pay attention to these problems, but to concentrate only on the gameplay; but, unfortunately, this was not always possible. 3 years after the game was released, quests are still broken in it, fortunately this is fixed when loading the last save.

But at one point I made a terrible mistake: I reinstalled the game from the M2 SSD to a regular WD Blue HDD, after which a real nightmare began on the Czech train. The game is so focused on optimization for the HDD that absolutely all the objects you come across, be it characters or buildings, are loaded literally before your eyes. Therefore, the first thing you will see when walking through the expanses of Rattay are walking heads with buckets. Loading textures is not the only thing that affects the visual component.

Crooked lighting, bugs with animation and the worst part – pixelation of objects. If you start to peer into the objects in your environment, you will notice either a geometric grid or pixels that cover the object. One of the biggest mistakes in life: starting to play Kingdom Come on an HDD, although you will catch a lot of cringes with an SSD. Let’s say thanks to the creation of Crytek – “Cry Engine”, on which the project was developed.

Everyday life of a blacksmith’s son

We are Henry, the simple son of a blacksmith, who became another victim of royal feuds; where, as in any war, the extremes are not those who start them, but those who want to live a peaceful life. The parents were killed, the family home burned to the ground, and the only thing that remains in the bins of the protagonist’s soul is revenge and the desire to fulfill the last wish of his father. Fortunately, there are people whose plans are intertwined with the plans of the main character.

The plot of the game is closely intertwined with historical realities, which gives the game a certain charm. The opportunity to visit a real-life conflict, where you are not just an observer, but a participant in the conflict. One of the main advantages of the main storyline is the characters, each of which reveals itself and sinks directly into the soul. The customs and traditions of that time are conveyed simply amazingly; sabotage, intrigue and conspiracies, this is what awaits the player in the Kingdom Come Deliverance storyline. Fortunately, many of the tasks can be completed in different ways and different decisions can be made, which reveals a different side to the company.

But we have an RPG in the open world, where there are over 20 additional tasks that to some extent reveal medieval Bohemia and the people who inhabit it. And here another problem of the game arises – boring side-quests. For the most part, additional tasks in Kingdome Come: make the main character an errand boy. Of all the side quests, at best, 2-3 quests are memorable, standing out for their presentation and memorable stories. In other cases, you have to go there, talk to him; come here and bring this; and so on. At best, such quests will be accompanied by a couple of battles or mini-games, which are also present in the game in the form of competitive archery or zonks (a local alternative to dice poker). Here, I think, comes the next problem of additional quests – rehearsal. Many of the tasks do not have any exciting story, and the process of completing them becomes cyclical.

Kingdom Come Deliverance cultural code

In fact, it’s nice to see that the practice of transferring historical realities is now relevant not only for big screens, but also for video games. The game contains a lot of aspects that convey the historical values of that time. Starting from the in-game encyclopedia of medieval Bohemia; ending with the world itself, characters and plot, steeped in 15th century Bohemia. As a project promoting the culture and history of the Chekhovs, Kingdom Come can be placed on par with art historical films. But unlike the usual history textbooks and films, where the player, I repeat, is only an observer, and in the game you are a participant in the work, stranded in the intricacies of royal feuds. In connection with the announcement of the Ministry of Culture on support for domestic developers to create projects that promote the culture and history of Russia, I would like to see similar projects from our developers.

Extras (Steam)

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is one of the most controversial projects I’ve ever played. At first glance, the original idea of pseudo-realism, set in 15th century medieval Bohemia, seems to be somewhat innovative; but after getting to know this world better, you feel deceived. The world, although it works for the atmosphere, but with the exception of cities that offer at least some content, is empty and unremarkable. The combat system offers interesting mechanics and a different perspective on fights, but at the same time it seems clumsy and somewhat unfinished. But the main plot captures and immerses you in the epicenter of medieval chaos, but the additional quests do not offer anything interesting, with a couple of exceptions. No game has ever given me more controversy than Kingdome Come Deliverance, which I love and hate. Unfortunately, due to many flaws and technical problems, it is not possible to draw an unambiguous conclusion about the game. If we consider Kingdom Come Deliverance as a story-driven adventure of 20-30 hours; I definitely recommend it. But as a complete project, with all its elements and shortcomings, the recommendation of Kingdome Come Deliverance remains questionable.

And remember: carry a torch with you, it will save you pennies. Thank you for your attention!

First, and possibly last Comment.

The first, but not the last)

This is one of my favorite games, its world is made so cozy and atmospheric that you want to come back. It’s a pity that the graphics in the release version were cut up, in the beta version of 2016 the forests looked amazing. I hope there will be a continuation.
